At Belmont Church, our desire is simple: to follow Jesus, grow together in faith, and make a real difference in the community where God has placed us.
Belmont Church has been part of the Belmont neighborhood since 1904, when a worship space first opened at the corner of Nordale Avenue and Smithville Road.
Fifty years later, as the congregation grew and needed additional space, Belmont Church moved one block down the road to our present location at 2701 Smithville Road. We have been worshiping and serving from this location ever since.
More than a century after our beginning, we remain grateful for our history while continuing to look toward what God is calling us to do next.
Jeff Jeffries was appointed to Belmont Church in October 2025. He has been a life-long resident of East Dayton, and his heart is for people in the community.

Belmont Church is a Christ-centered church with a heart for our community.
We believe that being part of a church means more than simply gathering for worship on Sunday mornings. It also means loving our neighbors and finding practical ways to serve the community around us.
That is why we work to build and maintain relationships with local schools, daycare programs, families, and other organizations throughout the Belmont area and surrounding neighborhoods.
Belmont Church also operates a Food Pantry serving several local ZIP codes. The pantry is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, providing food and assistance to our neighbors. There are also many opportunities for those who would like to volunteer or contribute to this important ministry.
We believe the Good News of Jesus Christ is just as meaningful and needed today as it has ever been.
At the same time, we recognize that the world around us continues to change. Because of that, we want to be a church that is willing to grow, willing to learn, and willing to find meaningful ways to communicate and live out our faith in today's world while remaining rooted in the central truths of the Christian faith.
We don't expect everyone who walks through our doors to have everything figured out. Questions are welcome. People are welcome. And there is always room to grow.
We are a church made up of people from many different backgrounds and different places in life. Some have been part of the church for many years.
Others are still asking questions and figuring out what they believe. Wherever you may be in your journey, we want Belmont to be a place where you can experience the love of Christ, build meaningful relationships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus alongside others.
Life at Belmont Church extends beyond Sunday morning.
Whether it be joining a discipleship group, a Bible study, serving alongside others through one of our outreach ministries, helping to meet real needs in our community, or simply the enjoying the journey of getting to know people through activities like our weekly Pickleball group, we believe that there is definetly a place for you to connect here with God's family in a more meaningful way.
So, if you don't currently have a church to call home, we would love the opportunity to meet you.
You don't need to know all the right words. You don't need to have a certain kind of church background. And you don't need to have your life completely figured out before you come.
Come as you are. There is a place for you here.
If you have questions before your first visit, feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to answer them and help you know what to expect.
Or simply come and join us.
“Wherever life finds you, know that our doors are always open, and there will always be a place for you here at Belmont Church!”
