Pastor Jeff Jeffries has spent his entire life in the East Dayton community, growing up and living within just a few miles of Belmont Church. When God opened the door for him to serve the Belmont congregation, it felt in many ways like a call to come home.
Pastor Jeff was appointed to Belmont Church in October 2025 and is grateful for the opportunity to serve a church and community that have been part of his life for so many years. His hope is not simply to serve at Belmont, but to become deeply invested in the life of the church, the neighborhood, and the people who call this community home.
Jeff graduated from United Theological Seminary in May 2026 with a Master of Divinity degree and is continuing the process toward ordination in the United Methodist Church.
Music has long been an important part of Jeff’s life and ministry. Before coming to Belmont, he spent several years leading worship at a local Methodist church in East Dayton.
Pastor Jeff has a particular heart for ministry within the city and for walking alongside people who are facing difficult seasons of life. He has been involved in ministries serving individuals and families navigating challenges such as poverty, addiction, and the difficult work of rebuilding their lives.
Jeff also has a heart for children and young people. He is excited about helping Belmont continue to become a church where children, teenagers, and families know they are valued, loved, and given opportunities to grow in their relationship with God.
Most of all, Pastor Jeff wants Belmont to be a place where people can come as they are, encounter the love of Christ, ask honest questions, build meaningful relationships, and discover that there is a place for them in the family of God.
Whether you have been part of a church your entire life or are beginning to explore faith, Pastor Jeff would be glad to meet you and welcome you to Belmont Church.
