We have three Bible studies that meet every Wednesday Evening immediately following WW Meal.
Wonderful Wednesday Women
(for ladies of all ages).
The Wonderful Wednesday Women’s Bible study group is embarking on the journey of “Finding I AM: How Jesus Fully Satisfies the Cry of Your Heart.”
What is the deep cry of your heart? That ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but he also wants to step in and see you through it. Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John.
Through this interactive, in-depth study, you will learn to trade feelings of emptiness and depletion for more personal fulfillment from knowing who Jesus is, stop living like a slave to your circumstances by training your heart to embrace the life-giving freedom God wants for you, and gain a better understanding of how Jesus’ words 2,000 years ago are so very applicable to the answers you are searching for today.
Cost: $17 (book). Facilitator: Rachel Coleman.
On Oct. 31, the Wonderful Wednesday Women will begin a 24-week book-and-video study of the Old Testament, The Epic of Eden, by Dr. Sandra Richter.
"The OT can feel like a junk drawer--a disorganized collection of important stuff we don't want to lose yet don't know what to do with. From the Pentateuch to patriarchs and from kings to prophets, it can feel like a puzzle we've tried to put together but end up putting back in the box because it's too complicated."
Is that your experience with the Old Testament? Then join us for this deeply substantive and profoundly spiritual explanation of the OT, that shows us how "Old Testament understanding leads to fresh depths of New Testament faith for everyday life in the real world."
The WWW meet in the youth room (upstairs behind the balcony), 6:30-7:30 p.m. Facilitator: Rachel Coleman. Cost" $18 for the book. (Scholarships available.)
Pastor Randy's Sermon Bible Study
Meets in Office
Pastor's Bible Study studies the passage for the upcoming Sunday sermon.
Come and grow together as we explore each sermon.
You may also gain great input into the sermon itself!
You will feel more prepared for the sermon Sunday morning.
PARLOR BIBLE STUDY
The Wednesday Parlor Bible study, is going through Disciple: Under the Tree of Life (New Testament part), which covers the Gospel of John, the Epistles of John, James, Jude, and finally Revelation.
Each week includes a selection from Psalms (the Bible’s prayer book). Present through the entire study is the sense of living toward completion; the climax of the message and the promise, extravagantly pictured in Revelation.
Facilitator: Dick Kooser
